Hi everyone and welcome to my blog!
I'm Yuraimig Rivero an English Teacher at UPEL-IPM in Maturin, Monagas state in Venezuela.
I love everything about blogging or wikis, I mean, the use if ICT tools when teaching English and I appreciate your fullest support.
What is this blog about? What will it be about?
It'll basically be my own little blog about myself, my likes and what I do. Of course, I may discuss other things but that's about it basically.
My Job
I got into Teaching since many years ago, in fact, since 1999, through a combination of many levels in education, from lower to higher ones but right now I´m a full teacher at UPEL-IPM (Pedagógico de Maturín).
What brought me to start my own blog?
Well, it all started when I stumbled on posts made by me at hi5.com. Then, I started to look for a way to share educative information with my students through it. After reading some information, I decided to take a look at some other posts. Later, I don't exactly remember how but I stumbled onto many people´s blog. I fell in love with some of them, then Prof. Miguel Mendoza from The British Council came to the Pedagógico to give us a basic workshop about it. So, I took some courses with The Consultant E Afterwards, I spent extensive months of creating my blogs and wikis and finally I did mine.Now, I belong to an Educative group whose purpose is to teach Languages trhough the use of the computer, in other words, through ICT tools which is called AVEALMEC
Every post intrigued me and it was then that I felt it was necessary to start my own blog with the whole educational material I could share with many people and particularly with my students, who really love surfing on Internet.
Why didn't I earlier?
I think I was afraid I wouldn't fit in with the other bloggers. In fact, Like I said, I was eager to create them due to the obvious fact which an interest and a project to be devloped myself. I'm new and if anyone is willing to make me a seasoned blogger, feel free to do so!
Of course, many people understand my love for ICT tools and if you have any critique, say so.
